Coreia lá no sul

Rota definida para Pusan, cidade de sol e turismo da Coreia do Sul, anfitriã do Congresso Mundial de Aquacultura 2008. Lá vou eu e assim que aterro percebo logo que estou num mundo à parte. Para quem vem de Tóquio ali os vizinhos Coreanos podem muito bem ser catalogados como os "latinos" da asia. A verdade é que aqui quem não ri às gargalhadas, fala alto, esbraceja, dança, mete conversa na rua, etc, é estrangeiro. Assim, eu ao apanhar o meu primeiro metro estranhei o conjunto sempre crescente de velhinhos que estavam super curiosos com o facto de ter uma com os olhos esquisitos ali. Por momento julguei que ia ser assaltada por um monte de velhotes que me rodeavam....mas foi com alivio que percebi que só queriam conversar...pena que em Coreano. Os estrangeiros vão directo para os hotéis sem passar pelo metro e por isso estranhavam.

Pusan, city of Sun and turism in South Korea, host city of the World Aquaculture Congress 2008. Here I go, and as soon as I put my feet on the ground, I realize I am in a different world. For someone that comes from Tokyo, those nice Corean fellows can be called as the "Latin people" of Asia. The truth is that here, one that doesn`t talk loud, dance, talk with everybody int he streets, etc....here is a foreigner. So, when I got my first subway and start to get surrounded by a group of old people looking at me as if I`m the first one they see with crazy round eyes, I have to confess I though I was gonna get assaulted or something...but the poor ones just wantes to chat....unfortunetly in korean...Cool people this koreans!

Começa a primeira noite com a Leila, numa tasca coreana onde os donos eram um casalinho (o senhor na foto em baixo muito pensativo), muito simpáticos, que estavam a desfazer-se em mil sorrisos e a tentar perceber como iriam enganar as bifas estrangeiras. Assim o pensaram assim o fizeram...enfim estes coreanos...

Sarting the first night with Leila in a small restaurant (as if we can call that a restaurant) with very nice couple as owners (you can see the Husband in a very deep picture), really nice, always trying to please us and trying to find their way to cheat the foreigners chicks. Well....they were very well succeeded! I feel like at home here!!!

No único dia que tive para conhecer os arredores recebemos a visita de um simpático Tufão que nos fez passar o dia inteiro a visitar o Aquário de Busan (estes gajos não se decidem se é com P ou com B) e lá, mais uma vez percebi porque gosto tanto deste mundo que há debaixo de água.

The only day I had to take a look at the city, we got the visit of a very nice typhoon, and so we had to visit something protected...since we are fish freaks we went to Busan Aquarium (they can`t decide if it`s with P or B). It`s very nice and once again I realize why did I went to Marine Biology, and why do I feel so good with this underwater world...

Aqui encontrei o carro ideal para mim, vem equipado de série com peixinhos da melhor qualidade e com agua cristalina! Tem a minha cara!

Also got the chance to finnaly find a car that suits me...provided with little fish of the best quality in the market, and super clean water....perfect for me.

Na recepção para os estudantes o grupo vindo da Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology juntou-se e começou a agrupar-se com o resto do mundo, resultando num interessante grupo de estudantes vindos de partes absolutamente distantes do Globo, todos com um propósito...partilhar conhecimento e informação acerca da aquacultura no Mundo.

In the reception for the students, the group of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology gathered with the "world", resulting in a very interesting group of sutends provenient from absolutely different parts of the Globe sharing knowledge....and some beers.Nice to meet you all!!!

As Ruas de P(B)usan

Esta cidade vem nos folhetos pelas belas praias, mas eu diria que devia vir pelos tresloucados que insistem permanentemente em lançar fogo de artifício caseiro a toda a hora na praia. É um negócio lucrativo e qualquer casal que esteja enamorado tem de ter uma salva de fogo de artificio pelo menos uma vez. Para isso há uns senhores um bocadinho insistentes a impingirem todo o tipo de coisas artesanais que a mim me diziam automaticamente que ia ficar sem dedinhos. Mesmo assim não há quem não compre e não comece numa disparatada guerra de fogo de artificio de trazer por casa. Interessante paisagem que fica com fogos por toda a parte...

This city is advertized for the nice beaches and good summer style it has, but in my opinion should be more for the crazy people that are insanely adicted to home made fireworks. Everywhere people sell this artifacts, and a nice romantic night between a couple or just a night with the friends has to end with a festival of fireworks. Interesting...

E com esta mistura cultural acabamos a semana na Coreia, e de volta a Tokyo city a realidade estava à minha espera....Tese de mestrado aqui vou eu....

Now back to reality in Tokyo City....Master thesis here I go....
