Shanghai

Fomos até Xangai, sentir como é a cidade mais internacional da China. O facto de Xangai ser também a cidade que acolhe a Expo 2010 ajudou muito para despertar a nossa curiosidade. Mas primeiro apresento-vos a cidade. Xangai apareceu para mim como uma surpresa muito boa. A cidade é completamente diferente de Pequim, mantendo um espírito muito mais aberto e acolhedor. Estão certos....é a cidade internacional por excelência. Cheia de contraste e de retoques aqui fica um pouco do que os nossos olhos viram...

In June we went to Shanghai to feel how is the beat of China's most international city. The fact that Shanghai was the venue for the World Expo 2010 moved us to go there, but in this post I show little bit of the city that impressed me so much. After visiting Beijing, this city was a great surprise. Not only is completely different, here you feel freedom and open spirit to the world! It's Shanghai indeed! So here's what our eyes saw...

Num local histórico, assim como em qualquer lugar aliás, o Starbucks está lá a fazer esquecer o regime que se vive aqui (sem falar de absolutamente todas as outras marcas americanas e não só).

Anywhere you go you see Starbucks and all the other brands that you are not expecting (at least I wasn't expecting in such a frequency). It doesn't matter if you are in an historical place or at downtown, you always have one around (free WiFi internet though...pretty useful).

O clássico encontra-se com facilidade especialmente aqui no Jardim Yu Yuan no centro da cidade.

The classic mix frequently in the middle of the city and the Yu Yuan Garden e a very good example of that. Such calm and beauty in the heart of the city.

Os contraste em Yu yan são visíveis quando em vários locais nos deparamos com as arranha céus tão característicos de Xangai.

Everywhere you look you have the so famous skyscrapers! Its just a lovely contrast...

Em Puxi, o Bund faz as delicias de quem quer passear com vista para os famosos arranha céus do outro lado em Pudong.

In Puxi side of the river The Bund is great for a walk and so see the skyscrapers in the other side - Pudong.

Aqui atravessa-se o rio de barco e até de mota...sempre a surpreender esta cidade....

Na rua encontram-se vendedores de lichias à moda antiga....adoro contrastes.

And in the middle of a road of this cosmopolitan city there is the Lychee's seller...a traditional one.

No templo tenta-se a sorte acertando na janelinha mais em cima...quanto mais alto mais sorte.

In the temple the higher window you manage to place the coin the bigger luck you have in life.

E claro...Onde há um Português há logo mais um, dois ou três! E ainda bem que os há, que assim conhecemos esta família maravilha onde a pequena estrela Gabriel fez o maior sucesso na Expo2010! Beijocas Sofia e Bruno!

And of course...there are always other Portuguese everywhere we go, and we are happy for that. This time we met this lovely family, where Gabriel the little star was more photographed that a Hollywood one at the World Expo!

E assim é Xangai!
